E3 is canceled

We just wrote about the fact that some big publishers and developers are staying away from this year’s E3. We can now change that to “all publishers and developers”.

As IGN first reported, two sources have confirmed that E3 was canceled internally today. A few hours later, the official E3 Twitter account has now confirmed this.

The reason for the cancellation is said to be a lack of interest from exhibitors, which would have made it impossible to host an E3 “which reflects the size, strength and impact” of the video game industry.
